The Reverend John Cooper’s last Sunday as ‘resident priest’ at St Mark’s
On Sunday 2nd September there is to be a special service at 10.00 a.m. in St Mark’s to celebrate five years of John Cooper’s ministry in St Mark’s Church. From the facebook page we read: Welcome to St Mark’s. There is a change of plan this month. Our All Age Worship service which was scheduled for Sun-day 26th August has been postponed for 1 week. It will now be a Family Communion at 10am on September 2nd. On this Sunday the Revd John Cooper will be stepping down as Assistant Priest at St Mark’s after 5 years. He would be delighted if you are able to come to this service and share some refresh-ments afterwards. There is much to look forward to at St Mark’s and so the theme of this service will be a very positive look into the future. We look forward to seeing you on the 2nd. With blessings to you all. Team Rector, John Mann, comments: I look forward very much to being in St Mark’s with John Cooper on Sunday for what I know will be a day both of thanksgiving for blessings received and an exciting looking forward to what is to come. We are all very thankful to John for his ministry in Herston, AND he will not be leaving us! We shall still see him after his and Jane’s holiday with family in the autumn and John Cooper’s name will be on the clergy rota amongst the churches of the team - including, of course St Mark’s - on their return.
