“take everything to God in prayer” Philippians 4v6
Prayer is an important part of daily life at each of our churches and the different opportunities to gather together and pray reflect our different traditions.
Regular Opportunities to pray together
St Mary's: 8am daily Monday - Saturday. Do join us as we meet to pray the Anglican Morning Office and pray through specific requests.
All Saints: 9:30-10am Thursday mornings. Do join us for an informal time of prayer for the church, Swanage community and further field. We have a special focus on our mission partners on the final Thursday of the month.
St Mark's: 10 - 10:45am Wednesday mornings, Prayer and Share in the church room. Everyone welcome.
Prayer Networks
Are you or someone you love experiencing a crisis, perhaps sudden illness, accident or bereavement?
At St Mary’s in our 8am Morning Prayer in St Aldhelm’s Chapel (Monday to Saturday) we pray for those whose names we have been given who are in need of prayer. If you would like your, or a loved one’s, name added to our prayer list please contact Ian, Rector, or leave us a note in the Chapel. We pray daily for all who are on our list.
Also, we have some prayer circles at St Mary’s - these are groups of people who commit to praying discretely for others facing long term illness or long term difficult life situations. Again, please contact Ian if you think that is something you or a loved one would want.
All Saints has a network of pray-ers willing to pray for any situation that you would like support with. Contact the All Saints Prayer Coordinator here and they will forward an email to our prayer network members who will pray confidentially and immediately for your situation.
Personal Prayer after services
If you would like someone to pray with you at any of our churches, please talk to a member of the clergy present that day.
All Saints church has weekly opportunities for the prayer team to pray with you after our 10:30am services. They will invite the Holy Spirit to continue His work in you and for you, bringing blessing, healing, direction or anything else you are seeking.
